I just bought an L2900 GST and have a question about the shuttle shift lever.
There is a spring that I think is meant to stiffen the lever action. On my tractor, it looks like the spring was cut and the lever has a fair bit of play. I had the tractor in for service recently and the service manager said he'd heard of people cutting them because the found the stiff action to be a PITA. He did not recommend replacing it.
I hate loose and wobbly bits, however, and wonder if anyone thinks it worth it to replace the spring. I can probably do it myself. Anyone find the spring annoying? Anyone else cut one off?
Thanks!
