I decided to install a front blade on my KubotaB3300 from a yard find, one off a John Deere 318. The JD blade came with hydraulic cylinders for up/down and side to side, so I redid the hoses (new hoses/ends) and made a front quick hitch plate and all were installed yesterday. As further background, the blade was purchased off the ground, so I have no idea if it “technically” worked. The blade was introduced to some air within the cylinders through my modifications and finally, stored outside in below freezing conditions prior to trying, i.e., keep in the bed of my truck under a camper shell, pulled it out and tried it for the quick hitch/fabrication occurred offsite, so when all pieces were ready, I removed it and tried it.
Here is what happened:
1) The unit did attempt to go up/down and left/right and quickly stopped.
2) Checked my hydraulic fluid, topped it off and attempted again similar results, stopped.
3) Right now, I have the loader on my tractor and taking care of the snow, but want to work on the blade and plan to: a) take it over to a friends’ house and see if the problem is on the tractor side or blade side.
4) Can anyone give me an idea what I should be looking for to correct the issue?

Are you sure the hoses are connected properly? Remember the lever must go fully into the right position for the blade to turn to the right. ( the first "dump" position won't work!)
