My Shredder/cutter is an RC 2060 (a five foot Land Pride three point mounted cutter). Recently, the blades on this cutter bound up on the stump-jumper and would not spin around on their attachment bolts, which they normally do in normal operation. Result was that the cutter vibrated intensely and was basically, not useable. So I took the cutter in to my local Kubota dealer. They said they would "check it out". I also asked that they check the output shaft on the cutter gearbox before replacing the blades, as they had suggested. After just 4 to 5 hours of operation, the new blades are again bound up against the stump-jumper and will not rotate on their attachment bolts. Same problem I had with the old blades. Does anyone know what causes this problem. I have had this cutter for about 15 or so years and never had a problem with the blades binding up until recently. I am not a mechanic but I can only assume that this has something to do with something wearing out. I forgot to mention, that when they replaced the blades they also replaced the pins or bolts that the blades are attached with.

It sounds like the blade carrier may be worn out. You stated that you have new blades and new blade mounting hardware. The only remaining thing that deals with the blades rotating around the attachment hardware is the holes in the blade carrier or possibly some bent part of the stump jumper that is interfering with the blade rotation.

If you wanted to you could reach under the mower and see if the blades are freely moving around or if the tips can move up and down a “lot”. I think they would be able to move up and downwards about 1/16 to 1/8 inch.

Sometimes the mower can get a string or wire jammed into that joint and it tightens it up but that is difficult to see unless you take the blades off (which is easy for the most part).
