Shipping tractor?

Has anybody shipped, or purchased a machine, states away and had it shipped in? Prices are inflated here in Upstate NY, a simple search on Machinefinder or Fastline shows the same machine consistantly 2,000 cheaper from OH, In, TX etc....

I dont really have time to drive 8 hrs one way...

You could contact some of the larger national equipment rental company's and see who they use for a hot shot service to haul there equipment between locations. Those guys are usually looking for loads to haul. Another option is trucking brokers and freight company's like ABF freight. They will put a list of different stuff heading to a certain area and fill up one trailer. Might have to have it shipped to someone local that has a loading dock so they can get it off the trailer though.
