I have a L3130, bought brand new four years ago. Never had any problems. The other day I went out to plow, started the tractor, (let glow plugs heat for a good minute) , let her sit at idle for 20 mins and then started plowing. About 15 mins in, she started faltering and loosing power, then died completely. Now she won't start at all. It will turn over, but not start at all. I thought it might be gelled fuel, but it hasn't been real cold and so I pulled the fuel filter. No problems there- got good fuel to the filter and my tank doesn't look like yesterday's bacon grease.
After pulling the filter, cleaning it and reinstalling it I was able to fire the tractor but it wouldn't stay running. Turned over, fired for a second and then just died. Seems like its not getting fuel, but how come? I purged the injector lines with the air purging knob on the engine, but still no go. Help!?

Your lift pump likely failed. Check to see if you are getting fuel at the IP when you crank the engine.

:) Well, after a long day I am happy to report the tractor is running again. Word to the wise, a good filter on your fuel funnel is worth its weight in gold. The culprit was a spider egg sac, about the size of a pea, that had lodged itself in one of the ports at the top of the fuel filter assembly. A friend was helping me diagnose this problem and it was his thought to remove the petcock from the top of the fuel filter assembly. Sure enough, there was the plug. Luckily I didn't have to pull injector lines all the way to the injectors. Thanks for all your input guys!
