reverse return spring adjustment on B2400 HST

Can someone tell me how to properly adjust the reverse return spring on this? when you push the reverse pedal, it takes a long time for it to return to neutral and stop moving. You can see in the pic there are 2 sets of nuts and I do not know how it should be done

Spring adjustment is to locate NEUTRAL between forward and reverse not for the problem you have.

Check lubrication for pedal pivot and then pedal damper.... like a shock absorber to slow down pedal movement.
