Planning on purchasing a BH92 for my mx5400. Do I need a rear remote? Dealer advised that I did not need a rear remote and said that the hoses connect under the tractor to get fluid to the backhoe.

You don’t “need” one, or three, but they are nice to have. Opens up a lot of three point options.

The backhoe does not use a rear remote. It has it's own wet lines that the dealer will install. While there in there you may as well get them to put a remote on for future use.....it's going to be running to the same place.

I agree wholeheartedly. I bought my tractor with a backhoe and it could have been plumbed for remotes at the same time when the backhoe lines were installed, but the dealer talked me out of rear remotes. While I have not had use of remotes so far, I wished I had made them install the remotes. I am really not sure why he was so against installing remotes when I asked for them.

My dealer was against doing the rear remotes as well. That’s why I was asking. Wonder why that is?

I have no idea why they would be against that.......it's not only more money for them to sell it but they are literally already disassembling to the point to install them, or it's not even a disassembly if your tractor isn't built and coming out of a crate. All you need is the right rear wheel off. Everything is so much easier when it's clean and rust free.

Well, if you want them, just tell them you must have them. I wished I had made them install a couple. It is so much easier having it done now. The only downside is the cost.

I'm guessing it is not enough profit in it for them? Really, what else could it be?
