I was on another tractor forum and the question was asked why manufactures don't offer rear discharge MMM on their tractors.

It would be nice to be able to mow on windy days and not have dust, grass clippings and grit blow back in your face.

Someone here with Kubota's ear should tell to offer them.

I would buy one.

hmm, one reason.. you'd be driving over the free cut clippings and bet that'd make a mess ?? It'd also cover the underbelly of the tractor and HST.

Years ago my in-laws had a John Deere mower that looked a lot like a zero turn, but didn't turn quite that tight. The engine was behind the rider and the deck was in front so the machine ran over the fresh cut grass. The deck was rear discharge and it didn't do a very nice job. The cut looked like it was done with a bush hog.

My EX great uncle had a little 7hp sears tractor with a rear discharge deck, he loved it! Two spindle deck, blades spun opposite of each other, and spit the cut grass out the middle between the two rear tires ...
