I have a BX2360 with the front bucket and a 60" mower deck with about 400 hours on it. Everything was working great when I decided to drop the mower deck to do some maintenance on it. I replaced the belt, bearings, seals and blades. I connected the deck back to the tractor, but when I engaged the PTO lever it didn't do anything. Again...everything was working great before I started. I dissconnected the deck PTO shaft to see if it was the problem and it still wouldn't enage. It drives and runs fine. It's the PTO that won't engage. I tried selecting the rear or both and none of the positions work. I replaced the switch that the PTO lever releases when it's engaged, and that didn't help either.
I'm not looking forward to "breaking it in half" again. I replaced the clutches on the central drive shaft a few years ago when the PTO was "slow", but nothing like this.
What am I missing? It was working perfectly before I started this exercise.
