Gents,
L4310HST makes clicking sound when PTO is disengaged. I have never used PTO implements on this tractor. Sound goes away when clutch is depressed ...and goes away if I move the PTO lever out of the disengaged position. I've been using just the loader on this machine, and if I run it with the PTO out of the disengaged position, there is no apparent problem.

Appreciate any thoughts.

2nd question, will I do any harm by running the tractor with the PTO engaged all the time?

I had a similar problem with my new B2650. I could hear the clicking thru the ROPS, especially at lower RPM. I found that the linkage wasn't allowing it to disengage all the way. The guide on fender wouldn't allow it to move all the way into neutral, so I removed linkage and added some bend into it so it would fall correctly into place on fender guide.

Thank you both for your replies. Played with the linkage and it seems to have helped. It never makes noise when the clutch is depressed, but still sporadically occurs when PTO lever is disengaged and the clutch released.
