We have a M9000 that we utilize to mow large areas. Recently we replaced all fuel filters, mechanical fuel pump, all four injectors, cleaned fuel tank, fresh fuel, serviced air filter, all fluids were topped off. We were experiencing a loss of power what we thought was due to a faulty injector. Injectors were replaced after one failed and the problem still exists. Great idle and full no-load throttle. No sputtering or smoke, runs really well. PTO engages well and no restrictions from mower, blades are good and no slippage from PTO.

We sure would appreciate it if someone can point us in a good direction on where to go from here. Thank you for your time.

Something is amiss with the mower, not the tractor. Check the gearbox on the mower.

Or...

In all that, did you bother to check and replace the air filter's?

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes Sir, air filter replaced. You are convincing me that it may very well be a mower problem. I climbed a good hill in high 1st pulling power no problem. That will be my next step. We have another mower I can hook up to it. Thanks again!

Dull blades will suck a lot more power than sharp ones. (Sharp blades also consume less fuel.)

You could also try REMOVING the blades (and belt if there is one) to help isolate where the power is getting lost.

With 85 pto (rated), power isn't an issue Mine just dynoed at 97 after an overhead adjustment. Bet if I cranked the wastegate closed a bit, I could do over 100.......... :D

The first rule of troubleshooting it to isolate. Do you have another piece of equipment you can hook to and see if the problem stays with the tractor? If it goes away, sounds like a mower issue.
