Oil leaking from split thread drain plug in clutch housing

Hi guys, I have an L2250 and there is oil leaking from the split thread drain plug in the bottom of the clutch housing. Looks to be motor oil, is this a rear main seal leak? Its definitely not water which is what that drain plug is intended for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I read your forum often and you guys are great at helping us guys in the field.
Also how difficult is it to split that tractor, I am a pretty good mechanic but have never tackled this before, any special tricks I should know about?
