HI I dont have any headlights on A BX 2660, And I dont know why, is there a failure point somewere in the electrical system that would cause this to happen for no Headlights? I dont see any loose bolts, and I dont see any blown blown fuses, but I am nither not sure what fuse is the headlights on, does anyone have any Idea's on what it might be?
Thanks,
Alex Hutton

Hi Alex, if you have a test light see if you have power at the switch. You might be able to get at it by loosening the dash and prying it up a little, you might have to remove the steering wheel to get at it. An easy way to check the fuse without removing it is also with a test light. That's where I would start, I've had to change a couple on the bx's that were left outside in the rain a lot. Hope this helps Barry.

I'm sorry about this, can you explain just a little more? I am confused on if there is a fuse on or in the switch, or are you talking about the fusebox? and are you saying that you have to test the fuse in the box/switch, depending on what you mean by that.
Thanks,
Alex Hutton.

Hi Alex If your fuse is ok like you said then you go to the switch next, you have to check for power there if you have power flip the switch to make sure you have it on the in and out terminals if you have power on both sides then the problem is between the switch and the light bulbs. If you only have power on one side of the swich after fipping it back and forth the problem is the switch. if it is the switch you can try spraying the rocker part with wd40 this may or maynot correct the problem. Hope this was more helpful Barry

Hi Alex,

When you turn on the headlights, the dash lights and tail lights should also come on, do they? How about the hazard lights and turn signals, do they work?

If all of the above lights work, except for the headlight bulbs, I would first look at the bulbs to make sure they are not burned out/have broken filaments.

The headlights are on one of the 15A fuses, I think it is the 3rd fuse down on the left.

When you turn the key switch on, do you hear the ticking sound from the fuel pump? The fuel pump is on the same power circuit as the lights, so if it is making noise, the fuse is ok.

If you can supply the answers to the above questions I can direct you where to look next. I have the shop manual for the tractor here as well as my BX to refer to.
