My B7510 needs some new front tires, old ones are R-4s made by Titan. Titan and Carlisle both offer this tire. From all past use, which would be the BETTER brand. Stock is 4 ply, thinking of going to 6 ply. Thanks.

I have had Titan R4's on a B7500 for 10 years and an L3200 since new 4 years ago. Never any problems. I have no experience with Carlisle tires on a tractor BUT we have used their trailer tires on utility trailers at work. We have about 20 utility trailers (3,000 - 7,000#) plus a few deckovers and landscape trailers. These trailers aren't just used for a semi-annual mulch run. They get thousands of miles on them and run at 70 MPH or so on the turnpike. We had so many failures of the Carlisle trailer tires that we will not run them any more, and wouldn't use them if we got them for free. The tires were not car tires. They were trailer rated tires. It happened with almost all the Carlisle tires we had and was no fluke. The tires were junk. For that reason I would not try the Carlisle brand in any application.

I was of the same opinion a few years ago. I had horrible service from their trailer tires around '03 to '08. Carlisle lost so much money building bad tires they had to do something, and re-egineered their tires from the ground up. I have had excellent service from their current trailer tires, arguably better than all other brands I've used. I doubt I will ever buy any other brand for my trailers.
Maybe tiredguy can jump in on this.
