I'm finally the proud owner of a 1979 L295DT with well over 7,000 hours on the clock (the hour meter broke a long time ago) that leaks hydraulic oil like a sieve :ROFLMAO: However, it does exactly what I need it to do on my small hobby farm type property. I got it for $2500 along with a Bush Hog Rebel mower and a unknown make rear grader blade. I have about 2 acres about a 1/4 mile off of the county road so I have gravel road to maintain, barns to rebuild, rocks to move, firewood to process, etc... My neighbor, who owns the adjoining 115 acres has owned it since it was new but has sold his place and will be moving to Florida in about a month. I know the machine well as I used to borrow it from him often, but now its mine. Looking forward to learning more about it and Kubotas in general:

Your machine will still have years of work left if given proper care.

You can get a free Workshop Manual at Kubotabooks.com

Using the same link look for Operators Manuals for L series tractors with model numbers close to your 295.

The Operators manuals are better help for routine maintenance.

The quality of the free workshop manuals is not great. For $9.99 you can download a very similar but sometimes more legible manual from this site. Download.

If you invest the $9.99 and are not happy, immediately ask for your money back and they will usually refund to your credit card.

Suggest you add the model number of the loader to your profile.

Forum members like Rbargeron are very knowledgeable in your generation of L series.

Where is the leaking happening?
