Thanks for the info. I knew this could be interpreted that way. My playground is in what they call the central sands area in Wisconsin. I’m trying to do minimal tillage to not beat the soil up much. I have a planter but trying to get a seed bed for some of my smaller seed. Just wasn’t a lot of info on these units but has been recommended as an alternative to tilling.

im in central wi same sandy area ive got a landpride all purpose seeder that does an excellent job of planting small grass seeds in untilled ground. i use it to overseed and seed tilled pasture.

an arena drag is for smoothing sandy or freshly turned ground it would not work well with compacted soil at all especially if it was already established.

A thought.... For sandy soils, and over seeding food plots the ...arena grader... in the link would likely work OK.... Maybe you wouldn't need the full width cutting bar behind the S tines, and I have to believe this type tool is rather expensive...

But if it works the way you need it to.. Pay once, cry once...
Good luck..
