Why is this MX condenser $1230?
Every other condenser is $300 or less. This doesn’t make sense.
Has anyone found an aftermarket that works?

Did you put a stick through it? And what do you mean by "every other condenser"?

LOL that is outrageous, an OEM Toyota condenser for a 4runner is $303 and an OEM one for a Chevy Suburban is less.
Pretty pointless comparing the cost of condensers for cars and trucks to tractors. Heck, I can buy one for my 2002 F-250 that's less than $100 but there's economy of scale there that doesn't exist within the tractor market. What does Kioti, John Deere, TYM, Yanmar etc., charge for replacement condensers. That would be the more interesting comparison.

For the record, the factory condenser for my M6060 costs more than the one for the MX.

Plenty of aftermarket condensers for way less then the OEM Kubota ones. I doubt that Kubota
manufactures all their A/C parts.

The OP would need to find one that's equivalent to part number T4365-72220 which according to Messick's is only used in the MX and new L70 tractors. The M6060/M7060 has been around long enough that there's a market for lower cost replacements but that might not be the case for the MX/L70.

It would be interesting to compare a Kubota condenser for the M6060/M7060 priced at $1,439.60 to the one you posted a link to which is $255.75. The big question is whether or not it's an equivalent part? I don't know if Kubota makes their own condensers or simply buys them from a vendor, but if they're marking up parts 1,000% that'd be very disappointing.

IMG_8567.png IMG_8567.png Exactly. I also have an L6060 and the condenser coil for it is $329. Basicly same tractor just a little nicer. So why is my MX 6000 $1200. Something is fishy. The condensers are basicly the same except for the fittings. Make it make sense. And yes I use this tractor like a bulldozer and I put a log through it.

Messick's shows $1,183.06 for the L6060 condenser with part number T1275-72220.

That tractor has also been around for a while, but the MX condenser seems to be limited to only a few models including the MX4900, MX5400 and MX6000 along with the new L70 tractors. Why Kubota changed the condenser in the new L70 models to the same one used in the MX tractors is a mystery. Heck, the L70 uses the same work light switches that are used in my M6060.

But the problem you're running into is that it doesn't look like an MX condenser is available in the aftermarket yet, but perhaps someone will find one.

I don't know why Kubota charges so much for an item that is available from other sources for a lot less money. Is there something different about the OE vs aftermarket? Who knows.
