Hello all,
Have a 2014 MX5200 DT. PTO is not engaging. Getting power to the PTO switch and the PTO switch has continuity (with key switch on). Had a previous issue where PTO would not disengage. Replaced PTO solenoid (and all that fluid) and fixed the problem. Does this sound like ANOTHER issue with PTO solenoid? Any other ideas?

Since this is your first post please permit me to offer some suggestions to ensure you get the help and information you are looking for.

While a forum search may find someone else with a similar issue to yours, for resolving your issue it is best to start a new thread rather than tag unto the end of another. For someone like me it gets confusing. The thread containing your post pops to the top of the list. In this situation a matter from March 2021. Before I get to your question i have to read through other posts which, while relevant to the thread's initiator, have nothing to do with your issues.

Remember, all of this is intended to be helpful and not critical as we all had to be guided at one time.

I will give you some info but this would be a good time for you to learn to do the simple steps I have just done.

Go to the Messicks site and, if asked, log in as a visitor.

Messicks.com

When you select Kubota and On line parts and enter your model MX5200, the first thing you will see is that there are three possible models.

DT, F & H. When asking for forum help it is important to thoroughly identify your model because some tractor systems may be different between models and you could get misleading info.

I assumed yours was a DT and the following parts illustrations are for the DT model.

Once you select the model then select parts diagrams.

A list of systems appears along the left of the page.

Instead of working through some of the systems, instead I entered pto and was presented with a list of the sections with a pto connection.

Clicking on one of the options provided yielded:

Since you are trying to figure out why your pto is not engaging, likely it is possible to check for power reaching the solenoid inside the valve. Power to the solenoid is going to be controlled by safety systems.

Be careful as the pto valve location is around a rear wheel and you could get run over trying to test for 12 volts reaching the solenoid.

If you do not have one, a volt test light is the easiest way to check for power. cost less than $20 on line or at auto parts stores.

Do not start removing hydraulic components as you can quickly make yourself a much bigger problem. For example blowing compressed air through a valve trying to figure out its operation can cause damage, lead to lost small parts etc.

Lots of help is available here.
