Most number of zerks on an implement - Land Pride RC3712 might hold the record

I serviced the RC3712 yesterday before heading out to do a mowing job and I stopped counting at 36 zerk fittings on that beast, but there are more. If ever the DeWalt battery powered grease gun has a use this is it.

Also, the PTO shaft that connects the main gear box to the tractor has to be the heaviest shaft I've ever messed with. The PTO shafts on the snow blower and flail mower are like toothpicks in comparison.

I have a RC2512 And agree there is a lot of zerks. It's a process getting it ready for the season between greasing and slipping the clutches.

I have a woods 12' TBW150 finish mower. I think it has 41 Zerk Fittings.

I don’t believe I have that many zerks on a particular implement, but I run out of fingers and toes counting before I get to far along.

@McMXi, does that LP RC beast have covers that don’t try your patience? He hose are honestly the worst part of service my baby cutter. The M18 cordless really does make service less of a task. I really dislike the covers.

Now you know the reason my batwing mower stays hooked up all summer until the last mowing after fall harvest is done. Then it gets a final clean up, greased a complete check over and unhooked in the shed. As I get older those CV shafts have gotten heavier and harder to hook up. I started mowing earlier this year in June because the wife had family coming for the July fourth holiday so I put the JD 4440 on the batwing instead of the newer JD 7320 as I needed it for some other work. So I have been mowing all summer with the JD 4440 with no duals and there has been a few pucker moments in the seat on some ditch side hills. You are right, there are a bunch of zerk's on those batwing mowers. You should had greased a old combine and head back in the day with a manual grease gun. Not so many zerk's on the later model combines.

The RC3712 is very well designed with easy access to every zerk .... kind of unusual to be honest. I really like the covers over the u-joints that have two camming latches for fast removal, and the plastic PTO covers with holes inside of the main covers that spin freely to get access to the zerks.

Even sharpening the blades on this beast is easy, and much easier to work on compared to the RCR1884 which I really should sell at this point. I can make do with the Del Morino flail and folding cutter.

I'd like one of those central greasing systems that some implements have.

I was around them some in the late 70's and early 80's on semi trucks and they didn't work very well always having lines broken and you still had to do the U-joints on the drive line. Have been around a few on some of the newer combines and they work pretty well on them but you still had to do the U-joints on the head drive shafts and a few on the head it self. Battery powered grease guns has taken a lot of the work out of greasing equipment. I can grease all the zerk's on my Bush-Whacker brand of bat wing mower without removing any shields which is nice.

I spent quite a bit of time in Sheridan when I was dating a woman there, and would stop by the Kubota dealership when she was busy with work or her daughter. I was there for my birthday in April of 2022 and there was a shiny new M6060 on the lot that had been ordered prior to the big price increases around that time (there were three I think). I knew I wanted a bigger tractor at some point, and knew that they weren't going to get any cheaper. An M7060 was on my radar, but given the price and availability of the M6060 I had to go for it.

Brian Davidson (one of the owners) is a great guy and I've stayed at his cabin a couple of times now. I really like Sheridan.

Bought my first Kubota from Krista in 2002. Brian was the service manager then. I've spent a little time in Sheridan as well. I'm located about 90 miles east of there. Chad was the salesman for the 7060/Landpride deal. Brian was involved as well.
