I have been searching the forums on the "somewhat common" front axle leak.
I have an L3300 that seems to leak quite a bit. I have two questions:
1) I see most posts talk about being able to perform this repair with a heavy duty set of snap ring pliers, until I found a different post talking about need a press to do something with the bearings. What is needed on the L3300?
2) Also, should I be changing the gasket/seal where the axle runs parallel to the ground and there are 4 large bolts on each side of the tractor? I was not sure if the leak was there as well as the kingpin leak.
Thanks in advance, Moday
