Mixing Ag and R4 Tires

I have a 2004 B7610 HST 4wd. The tires are all R4 and the fronts are pretty worn. I was thinking about putting Ag tires on the front for better traction when snow blowing.

I haven't found any references to folks mixing tire types and I'm curious if that's a bad idea.

You may need to get different rims, but if you get the right diameter tire, it can be done. We have run a tractor with Turfs on the back and Ags on the front since it was bought new in 1986. The dealer told us the correct size.
