4 wheel drive will sometimes jump in and out of gear especially when turning. I can stop tractor and firmly pull lever and it will stay in. I always pull it in with a firm pull on handle. I wonder how much trouble it would be to put a servo motor to electrically engage.

Welcome to OTT
My M7040 MFWD control is so easy to engage/disengage I couldn't imagine desiring to convert it to electronical controlled. Making turns in MFWD especially on firmer surfaces puts extra strain on drivetrain due to differences in tire rotation RPM's. My guess converting to electronically controlled MFWD would require a tractor split & a lot of $$$$$$$$$$

My truck garage put it on pit and they told me there was no adjustment on the linkage. They put spray grease on all the joints. I may have to take it back and look for myself
There is no adjustment for the linkage, just a rod with a T handle on it.
