M9580DT Sincro shuttle

Hi all ,
Im looking for some information on the above tractor.
I recently purchased this tractor as a none runner . Its overall condition is would say is very good. Little to no wear in certain areas. On original tyres. Year of manufacture is 1999 i think.
The previous owner said when reversing the tractor up to an implement , he heard a loud bang from the front of the tractor.
He stopped the engine , got out and spotted oil dripping from around the front drive shaft going into the axel. Out of pure disappointment , he left the tractor in the same position for the past 2 years . He had just got the engine done up and then this happened.! Not a full rebuild , just bearings I think. I dipped the engine oil and it shows correct levels.
So , my question here is , has this model of tractor a common front axel fault.?.

I haven't inspected the tractor properly yet , but I would appreciate if anyone here could advise me what direction to take for parts ect...
Any help would be much appreciated.

I’d start by getting a wsm then disassembling to figure out whats needed.

No, not if all 3 of the compartments have the correct fluid and quantity.

You are goIng to have to do some trouble shooting to see whats going on. Step 1 is purchase a copy of the Kubota workshop manual

Kubota has an excellent online parts system. Here is a link to the pages for your tractor.

Between the two and help from this forum you should be able to narrow things down. Given the age of that tractor Kubota parts support may be sketchy and what they do have definitly wont be cheap.
