I have a 2010 M5040. It will pull my 12' Bush Hog, but not well. I have found a 2008 M6040. Both mine and the M6040 have low hours. Both are hydraulic shuttle, cab tractors, 4wd. Is the M6040 as dependable as the M5040? Any known issues with either? I haven't had any problems with mine yet. I hate to make the change if the M6040 has known issues. Besides HP, the tractor looks to be the same size but according to online specs I found it does weigh more, is this correct?
Any input you have is appreciated!

I have a M7040 bought in 2012.
The M6040 and M7040 seem to have the same base engine but the turbo may be the difference.
NIW has posted previously on the reliability and desirability of the 7040.
One feature which has changed is the brakes. The later model M7040 and perhaps 6040 have much better brakes especially if you are parking on a slope with a trailer loader. I cannot provide you more info on this but a search may turn up North Idaho Wolfman's post on the topic. I tried without luck so why not try a private message to him.
The limited slip front axle is a nice feature when working in difficult conditions.

Well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. He had it for sale for 3 weeks until I contacted him. Then it was pending sale and has sold, so I missed it.

Thanks for your responses!
