I noticed tonight that in the lowest position, the height to the center of the lower pins on my three point hitch (with quick hitch installed) is 16.75". That seems rather high to me but I was wondering if that is normal. Whats odd is that I have confirmed the quick hitch is level both front to back and side to side yet it will not go down as far now as when I initially purchased it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Does your lower arms have 2 holes for the lift links to attach to, and are they attached at the hole farther away from the back of the tractor?

If so, move those mounting points closer to the tractor. It will allow the lower arms to go lower.

PS - your tractor also has position control that can limit the lower extent of the 3 point hitch.

RCW thank you very much. I fully opened the 3 point hitch drop control knob and what I believe to be the position control on the three point lever is currently set to the lowest position. The lower arms are currently set to the furthest position out as you stated and I will try out the other location. Whats odd is that the manual only mentions lifting higher in the closer position which I have no interest in. However, if it gives me a couple more inches of drop, it would certainly be ideal.

So I figured out the issue today. There are supposed to be bushings/spacers on the inner portion of the lower three point shaft. Since my tractor was delivered with the mower deck kit attached to the three point hitch, it did not have these bushings and I removed the mower deck and kit for the winter. Well there are tabs welded to each side of the rear housing and the lower three point arms worked thier way underneath those tabs which prevented the hitch from fully dropping. I'll stop by the dealership tomorrow and see if I can pick up the bushings to prevent this from happening going forward. The distance now from the ground to the center of the lower pins is 11".
