losing hydraulics

I have an M4050 that works fine until I am digging a post hole. When the auger goes all the way down, I lose all hydraulics. Nothing works, the 3 point arms or the front end loader. I pulled the pump and had it checked. It is fine. I replaced the filter, cleaned the screen, and changed the fluid. Still the same problem, everything works until I lower the three point arm all the way down. Any suggestions where to look?

Have you tried moving your draft control lever to see if that changes anything? If it does make it work, then the draft control rod may be out of adjustment.

Also, your linkage control may need adjusting since the only time The links are under load and “all the way down” is probably with an auger. Most other attachments don’t need for the lift arms to go all the way down.

Have you shut off the pto with the auger all the way down to see if that has any effect.

‘Other than those few things, the pressure relief valve may need adjusting/cleaning. Sometimes debris gets stuck in the holes and they don’t function correctly.
