Looking to purchase another Kubota BX2200.

Has 665 hours, minor things like seat is torn, lights not working and an annoying hood rattle. Any advice on price would be appreciated. Buying from a friend so want to be fair to both of us. Has a 60" belly mower but no other attachments.

If I buy it, how do I eliminate the hood rattle?

you checked the Hydro fan?
Assuming front loader and mower, I would guess at something less than ~$9000.

Hood rattle you mention is the rear corner of the hood slapping on the cowl? not much you can do except stick in a rubber spacer or felt, which will eventually come off. Seat and lights are not cheap to replace.

When I bought my BX2200 16 years ago I paid $10K with the MMM and nothing else.

Not sure how to evaluate price but maybe 50% of what a replacement BX would cost today, equipped the same?

Perhaps just ask what your friend thinks is fair?

665 hours is not a lot.

Guess if I were selling, which I am not, $5K would make me happy...1200 hours on mine.

I think you can get newer models for less than $10K, and with no FEL it's worth less than you'd think. I'd look to find equivalent models for sale online and benchmark off that. I'd have guessed closer to $5K than $9K, especially if it's not in great condition. A brand new BX1880 with mower isn't super expensive, and comes with 0% down and no repairs needed.

He said no other attachments, but I was assuming it had a loader. If no loader I agree with you guys.
