Hello friends,

I have just found in a german forum a log splitter and even if it a small tractor it is not a Kubota but has a size of a B-typ.

Power: 12to
Stroke: 800mm
Table has possible 3 hights
The tank has 10l and is 1m long... ;)
The cylinder can be unlocked and driven down to reduce the hight for storing.

Here are the pics:

That's pretty cool. There isn't much to a log splitter. Take a sufficiently rigid piece of steel and strap on a ram with a wedge and there you go. I wonder why he chose to use a separate pto driven hydraulic pump rather than the tractor's onboard system?

perhaps the tractor doesnt have the flow rate or not enough pressure to drive it,,either that or he got the pump for free:)

The hydraulic pump needs power and the onboard pump normaly does not have enough gpm.
And yes, he took most of the hydraulic stuff off an old farm equipment and puzzeled a log splitter together... :p

I feel the need, to build my own!!
