Oh my - - glad my messy Pliers drawer inspired you to clean yours out..... ;)

Just poking fun - - @BBFarmer said I had a "nice" collection.....translation is a kind/polite way to say there's a bunch of junk in there....

I looked back in that drawer earlier today to see how I can make it more organized.....

Be interested to see what you come up with for an artistic project.(y)
LOL No, it was in admiration.

Don't think I didn't notice right off the bat those awesome mini dikes, forceps (which i do love), tin snips, and them smaller C clamp vise grips.

I have some older wire style pliers rack that early on were made by Lisle. I cut them to fit my drawer width.

Last time I was strolling through china freight, I noticed they had some like mine only slightly taller.

Feeling utter shame because of my messy pliers drawer, I endeavored to make improvements.

I looked at Harbor Freight for their pliers organizers like @BBFarmer mentioned.

Checked to see if there was room in the Welder Cabinet for the vise grip metal c-clamps, so they were out of the drawer.

Much better........ ;) (Heck, I can find everything, so why improve on perfection? :) )

I really liked the two different Plier Organizers HF had, but they're too tall for the drawer in my toolbox....could modify them, but again, I can find everything....

I could use another small (wall?) cabinet for miscellaneous stuff. DVOM, Breaker Finder, OBD II scanner, Stapler/Staples, Nail Gun nails, sandpaper (yes, I have a small drawer FULL of sandpaper ), and a whole bunch of other items.

Random things take a lot of room in my toolbox that I only use occasionally.

I do see that most of those styles of organizers are for 2.5 - 3inch drawers. Mine are in both of my 3 inchers. And I did have to cut them down to fit.

But then again, it is definitely about ease of access and YOU being able to find stuff.

The bossman's box is less organized than mine, but If I can't find something in his box that I know he has, he ALWAYS knows right where it is.

And to think, you're in and out of your box enough it becomes muscle memory. That's exactly why my stuff stays in the EXACT location when its first placed in my box.

If i were to move a rail of sockets from the left side of my drawer to right, it'd be weeks before i'd be able to open that drawer a go right to that socket correctly the first time. Throws one off quite badly.

Here's one for ya @RCW @armylifer . Mainly because of all the corded items, this drawer always tends to be a disaster. Clean it up, two days later, disaster. I use everything in it constantly and you can't grab one thing without ten others coming with it.
20250513_064745.jpg

Its the 2nd drawer in my roll cart which doesn't actually roll anywhere anymore. Serves as overflow because its literally a 1/8th of the price of a matching locker or addition to my main toolbox. But that's another conversation.

And I only allow it because it sits just above my "cap" drawer which looks terrible but helps keep my bay tighty and clean. I got a thing about spilling crap all over the floor. Wont do it. It ruins my day and usually my attitude.
20250513_072156.jpg

Then above them are my most used air and electric crap.
20250513_064702.jpg

Followed by more air and electric crap
20250513_064712.jpg

And then, when all else fails and because you know MISSISSIPPI
