Hi everyone. Been a little while since I posted. Have spent the last several months moving onto new farm in Tewksbury Twp, NJ. I’m not sure this is the right forum, but I am looking for some ideas on how to cleanup where my property meets the street. There is a small downward slope and i can’t cut the grass on my Scag mower. I also want to level the driveway entrance. Right now there is a big dip into a water runoff gulley and my cars scrape leaving the driveway. Any suggestions?

here is driveway entrance. I think I’d like to put in a concrete pipe so I could level the entrance.

First off congrats on the new farm. I'm lazy by nature and I hate mowing on a hillside like that. If it was me, I would put a border at the top of the hill and plant a low cropped drought tolerant ground cover from the border to the street. Something like Myrtle, an Ivy, or Sweet Woodruff. No more mowing. The concrete culvert sounds like a good idea. Keep in mind that what I see in the photos is it is heavily wooded so in the fall there will be a leaf buildup that could clog the pipe.

What kind of border? Like a row of hedges or something simple like a 6x6 retaining wall? I’m not tying to create a privacy fence or anything but I just want to make it look a little neater. At some point, we may fence it in as extra pasture for the horses.

N.Y,
Usually that first 20 feet is a right of way that is controlled by the town when it comes to runoff water. You could contact the town to see if they can put a culvert under the driveway so your car doesn't scrape.
