I've kinked and then broken a control cable (A1).
In trying to remove the control end I find that it wouldn't come out until I took the housing off (A). This is ok for getting the broken cable out, but what's the trick getting a new one back in?
I had to remove the control valve from the frame in order to get at the other end of the cable, which of course doesn't want to come out ( of B), either.
I thought I might keep going up the line and try and remove B but that doesn't come loose and was going to remove the hex screws (C) but then realized I might be opening a can of worms where springs would start flying all over the place.
I am a total neophyte at this as you can tell, and would appreciate some guidance.
