Hi all, new member here with an L4150 + L4540 backhoe.

After about six months of owning the tractor the curl cylinder stopped working in the middle of a job. I opened it up and found that the nut on the rod had backed off, hit the end of the cylinder, and stripped the nut & rod. I was able to turn the rod down & re-thread it, a local hydraulics shop got me new seals.
Someone had been in there before - the lock ring on the cylinder had been removed with a punch, so I decided to do the seals in the other cylinders when it's convenient for me instead of in the middle of another job.
The question is, does anyone know if the seals for the various backhoe cylinders are the same? The lift cylinder appears to be the same as the curl, but I'm wondering about the others. I'd prefer to have the seals in-hand when I take them apart. Kubota was no help, our local dealer said they couldn't get seals and said I'd have to replace the cylinder, which was somewhere over $1k (from them).

In a simiiar vein, does anyone know anything about rebuild kits for the Dukes control valvea? Mine are old & sticky. The Kubota shop said they could get some seal kit for $90+, but they couldn't tell me if it was for one valve or all 6, or even if it was just for part of one valve. Knowing Kubota pricing that's probably just part of one valve. I can take it to the hydraulics shop and see if they can get them, but they have a long lead time in the summer (weeks) and I'd rather not have it apart that long.

Thanks in advance for any clues!

The seals in rhe valves dont do much. When they fail you get external leaks. Sticky is commonly the joysticj linkage or dirt and corrosion in the spool positioners.
