L3901 neutral safety

I have a HST L3901 and have had a sporadic issue with the neutral safety switch not allowing the engine to turn over since new. The dealer looked at it at 200 hours and when i picked it up it was acting up. I can get it to turn over if I play with the foot pedal. I've lubricated the thingy and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Has any one else had issues with this safety? I have 325 hours on it now. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Have it repaired under warranty while you can.

Adjust the Hydro pedal neutral switch down a turn or turn and a half. It's a very common adjustment.

Had this with my L3200 when it was nearly new. It wasn't difficult to adjust. It is something the dealer should probably be responsible for, but it was easier to just do it myself in less time than it would have taken to arrange for the dealer to come 'n get it.
