The tractor drives down the road seemingly fine, power steering works fine.
The 3 point and bucket functions don’t work. Neither does the third function grapple.
I can sort of raise the bucket up if I curl it at the same time but when I do the reverse to lower the bucket, it falls quite fast.
I changed all the fluid middle of last summer and filter.
4 year old tractor I bought new.
Yesterday the fluid was a little low, a quart and a half, now it’s full,
Any ideas??
Much thanks,
Rick in Oregon

Common pronlem. Sounds like somethimg is blocking the power beyond circuit. Do you have a backhoe on the tractor?

Dan
Yes!! Yes I do!
Although it’s not actually on the tractor at this moment.
I have a box scraper on it now, which is the only reason I know the 3 point doesn’t work.
I had the backhoe as well as the third function, installed when I bought the tractor.
And they have always both worked flawlessly.
Thank you for giving me a semblance of hope!
So…what should my next step be you think?

You have to connect the BH hydraulic line (tractor side) back on to the tractor. You are not supposed to operate the tractor with that hose disconnected, this completes the hydraulic loop.

Check the loop back connection on the backhoe couplers. If they are not properly seated you will get the exact problem you have.

That would have been SO great if it were that!
Hmmmm, ctualllllly, I didn’t check that now that I think of it….
I checked for leakage everywhere but only uncoupled and then decoupled the third point quick connectors.
I‘ll check that rear backhoe hose first thing in the morning!
Thanks!
