I have a L345DT that appears to have blown a plug out of the side of the crankcase just behind the oil filter. While warming it up a few days ago it dumped most of the oil out this hole. The hole is not threaded and goes all the way through the case. My parts breakdown only shows the other side of the engine. The local Kubota dealer can not locate any info on the part either and finally suggested just tapping the hole and plugging it with a bolt. Before I did this just wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions. My guess would be that this had something similar to a freeze plug in it. The tractor is about a 1980 and has a V1501-DA engine. Any ideas?
