L3240 with mid mount mower

Looking to purchase an L3240 with mid mount mower and prefer R4 tires.

Will R4 tires work with a mid mount mower on the L3240? The dealer told me the tires are too wide sand will rub the mower deck therefore turf or AG will be required.
