I inadvertenly posted this on the classified site so I'm posting it again here.

Hi Everyone,

All of a sudden, I lost power to my instrument panel lights, and temp. guage. Probably to the fuel guage also. Anyhow, the headlights and taillight work and the tractor starts up. Have been checking circuits and grounds as listed on the L2650 wiring diagram for about a week. Can't find the problem. Checked the ground from the Easy Checker, instrument panel, last night and it was secure. Checked fuse box many times for power and changed fuses to no avail. Recently R&R the fan belt and had to readjust the Alt. to tighten the belt. Also turn signals don't work but the taillight does.

When I first observed this problem the temp. guage didn't work. After doing some tractor work, I sprayed off the tractor, started it up and the temp. guage came to life. Next time I started it up the temp. didn't work. ????

Any help with this nagging problem appreciated.......

Re: L2650 Electrical Problem-Solved

Problem solved. Contacted a friend of mine who is a retired electrical engineer to help with the problem. Determined that it was a power problem with the red/blue wires at the Easy Checker attached to the rear of the instrument panel. No power to it with the ign. key on. Jumped the red/blue wire at the fuse box to the red/blue wire at the Easy Checker and the lights on the instrument panel lit up like a Christmas tree.

Then checked for voltage at the multi-wire connector under left side panels near the clutch. Determined that the outbound red/blue wire did not have power. Cut the red/blue wire on both sides of the connector and sodered a jump wire to complete the power circuit. Now the panel lights work along the the temp. guage.
