I have now owned 5 Kubota's over the years. Picked this up a while back, getting it ready to use & the steering gear was "supposedly replaced". Couldn't hardly turn it right, adjusted the tightness & still no joy.
I ordered a new steering gear from fleabay, pulled the old one & noticed that the "replaced" gear had been JB Welded at the bottom. Whoever did this is a better artist/sculptor than they are a tech. The bottom had broken out & oil all over the pressure plate & everything else I can see in this cavity.
What say ye orange tractor experts? 1 or 3 cans of brake clean & let it drain before installing the new one?
Thanks in advance
