Just bought a L225. I think I've figured out what everything is, except the pedal behind the right foot. I'm thinking PTO clutch/quick disengage? I know I've caught a stump or two where something like this would have been nice. Any ideas? Also if you have any other suggestions a 29 year old should know about this tractor it'd be appreciated. My tractor experience is limited to 2 years on a 52 Ford 8N. Thanks, Don

Don,

I'm no expert, but I think the pedal you are talking about is a differential lock. Check in the article or video section; I know that I saw something about this.

That is correct. I have an L225 and the pedal behind your right heel is the differential lock. Use it when you get stuck and need extra traction. There are a few rules;

1. DO NOT step on the pedal if the wheels are spinning at anything above a crawl

2. Do not try to make a sharp turn with the diff locked.

3. Personally, I use it just enough to get out of a sticky situation. I release it as soon as I don't need it. It's not for long term use.
