I have a L2202DT. The hydraulics was slowing and then stopped operating. I changed the filter and hydraulic oil, but is still not operating. Does the hydraulic system need priming/bleeding ?On dropping off a hydraulic hose,it appears to be pushing air and not oil .
Does anyone know the recommended quantity of hydraulic oil required? I put in 20 liters.
thanks

That system is a little harder to bleed because the new filter stands straight up and it's put on 'empty', so getting a good prime is harder.

Remove the filter and fill itwith new gear oil, then quickly install it before you loose all that oil. It may be a little messy so keep some rags and shop towels handy for clean up.

Then cycle the hydraulics many times to get the air out.

Did you replace the filter or clean it? 80W/90 gear oil is OK to use although a better choice now would be a Universal Hydraulic Oil.
Thanks for the advice. How do you clean the filter? I installed a generic oil filter, but not the correct one as we could not get any information on the existing filter.
