L2000 Alternator woes

Hi there Just found your site searching for a wiring diagram for my L2000.

What a wealth of information.

I have recently had a "Flat Battery" the last couple of times I have started my tractor (Katie BTW). As the charge light extinguishes when she starts I had blamed the battery however yesterday I checked the alternator output and it was 12.6vdc exactly the same as the battery voltage so now the Alternator is the suspect. Where can I find a wiring diagram and can anyone give me a part number or the model number of a non grey market model that uses the same Alternator

Part Number 15321-64012 Assy Generator. This is for an L175, I don't know if it is the exact same one for your L2000 or not.

I do not have a wiring diagram, but some searching on the web should turn one up.

The alternator on my L175 looks a lot like the one that was on my 81 Datsun 4x4, if you have a decent junkyard close, you might try it. I put an alternator from an early 80's Datsun on my WD, it fit better than a Delco.
