I have a l1500dt and only a l175 manual. It does not include the front axle. I see a plug on top and bottom of the axle. also plugs on the bottom of the hub. I dont see a plug for full level. Do the hubs and axle share oil? how much is full? Newbee Questions I know but Can afford bad serviceing. Any help would be greatly apprectated:)

I have an L225DT and i believe our tractors share the same front drive axle. In answer to your oil question, the hubs don't share oil with the front differential. In my manual, it states the two hubs use a little less than a quart in each. It says to pull the bottom plug and drain all the old oil, then replace and fill with new oil every 300 hours thru the upper plug. Basically fill each hub with oil til it starts to over flow thru the upper plug. The front differential uses about 1.1 quarts and should be changed every 300 hours.
