Hey everyone. I need some help. I have a grey market L1500 and it is stuck in high gear. The lever moves very freely but only high gear. I need low gear to do my bush hogging. Please help I need to fix this ASAP. Thank you in advance!!

The experts will have to chime in on this one. I know you said ASAP so Im thinking you need to take the shifter cover off and see if you find anything obvious. Be careful to watch what parts are positioned where when you remove.
This also might help in the meantime...

Mine is an l1501, it has hi and low on transmission and a hi low lever on rear end. Is yours also equipped with this too? If so which range selector are you referencing to?

If the lever is completely frozen, I would try some penetrating oil like pb blaster or liquid wrench where the shaft goes through the side of the tranny. That's if the shaft won't rock back and forth slightly just by bumping the handle.

Mine can be finicky sometimes switching between high and low range. Sometimes to get it to pop out of high, I have to let off the clutch slightly to get the transmission just right. Same thing with shifting into low range. I found it goes out of high range easier if the tractor is still rolling slightly. Then just as it comes to a stop, I pop it into low range :D
