as outlined in a related post, my machine has been in derate, code 29. There is a entity in Canada which has done DPF deletes. For my machine I would need to send them the ECU for reprogramming with the code 29 removed, so I wonder, why can't they remove that code? I can concede that the DPF could be useful in a residential setting, yet may be of dubious utility on acreage, however, the laws are written to California standards, so people can get into trouble if they get around it in any way. Looks like Kubota has proprietary diagnostic software costing a few grand, beyond budget unless you are a dealer, who told me that they cannot service a machine which had a delete done. So unless I am sure about control of the operating software, I worry about being stuck with a parts machine.
Of course I would not ask anyone to incriminate themselves, but it may be useful to hear about any consequences related to this
