KX 033-4 mini-ex with rubber tracks 220 hours on it. Right track balks and stops moving going forward (towards blade) . Works fine in reverse. Hydraulic level good. everything else working well. A bit of dried mud on the tracks. Mabye small rocks? Going up to lot to raise that side and see if she spins without weigh on it. No high pressure water on site to wash tracks but I can pump some from a stream and dump buckets on to try that. Other thoughts? Like to try to figure it out before I have dealer drive out to site. Many thanks!

Check the control valves to see if debris is in the linkage that inhibits movement.
If it backs up fine, its not the tracks

Thanks William. I'll have a look tomorrow. There is a panel on the "front" that covers where the pedals/control handles enter the floor. I'll see what I can find starting there. Best....

So, propped each side up with bucket down force and freewheeled tracks. They worked in each direction with no ground contact. Could find no obvious rocks or sticks impeding motion. Because of proximity of holiday weekend, decided to bring it in to dealer to be on safe side. They (Walter at Townline Equipment) were kind enough to get it looked at in spite of their busy schedule and I was able to get it back yesterday to get some widening work done on my road to facilitate getting logging equipment in next week. Dealer could find nothing wrong and it worked flawlessly. Go figure.

On the positive side, I got to practice chaining and securing it down for transport. Son helped and it's getting faster everytime.

Good to hear it was a nothingburger.

I'll bet there was a pebble in the control valves linkage that got jostled out.

Good you got practice transporting it! :)

Yes thanks. Let's hope i am as happy when I get the bill, lol. Are the linkages below the cab? I'll have to take a thorough look when weather improves.

I'm not sure of the interface of the pedals/hand controls on your mini-ex. Most are at floor level. I could see a pebble getting in from a shoe and blocking movement. Murphy's law. I was mowing some years ago, some sticks in the yard. I was thinking....';what if a stick gets kicked up and jams the HST control (drive)? Five minutes later.....
Being your dealer tested it and it was fine, I can't image the bill being more than an hours shop time, really 15 minutes. Unless they open the controller cover and peeked inside to confirm no pebble any more.
