Kubota MX5200DT Price Check

Hello,

I just walked out of a local Orange dealer and got a quote for a new Tractor. Price seems good, but I want some of your feedback. I got a quote of $27,950 for a MX5200DT 4x4 w/ FEL & Ag. tires delivered to my house. 0% for 60 months Kubota financing.

I’m close to pulling the trigger. Is this a great deal, ok deal, or meh deal?

Not sure about the deal others here know better than I.

Did you get any extras like the third function valve to use for a grapple should you decide later or rear remotes?

I want a grapple but have no plumbing for it so that too will need to be added on top of grapple purchase.

Adding now any thing extra you may want later seems to be easier now than later.

Just food for thought.

Absolutely agree to secure extras NOW when the dealer is most cooperative.

Is the FEL bucket quick attach style?

Believe every tractor should have minimum, one rear hydraulic remote valve

What are the tasks you contemplate?

If the loader work is repetitive, the gear drive will be slow and monotonous.


The extendable lower rear links are very helpful if you change implements often.

A rear work light is handy, but the wiring for the lite is in the base factory harness. You will need a lite w/ integral switch, power is always ON.

AG tires are damaging if driven on improved surfaces, Lawns!! I don't load my tires,, but you might?

I don't use a grapple but some folks can't live w/o one, need plumbing.

Again, intended tasks define the manner in which a tractor should be outfitted.

Discuss transportation costs if tractor requires any warranty work.

How long has this tractor been in inventory? The HST transmission is very, very,

I have a gear tractor used primarily for field mowing, no complaints. It has a loader but it isn't productive, but tractor is fine for mowing. chores.

My mx is the preferred tractor for loader functions.

The price mentioned seems ok but not an exceptional opportunity using numbers from other members as comparison, I pd $21K for my mx in 2011.
