I am taking delivery of a new L4760 cab on Wednesday. I understand the speakers that are installed are pretty terrible, I'd like to upgrade to something better or possibly even larger (like 5 1/4").

From what I'm reading I have to remove the roof top, is this the case and if so does this cause any issues with water or dust intrusion?

I've read a few step by step guides, but they only go into vague detail. Does anyone have a good step by step guide to remove the roof on a L60?

Simply put, they suck but in as much as they are right next to your ears, they aren't that bad.....lol

Removing the roof is pretty easy and I recommend roof removal every few years (or more often if you operate the tractor in dusty conditions or farm with it like I do).

I have the outboard mounted cab filter (which I clean and replace regularly) but the components up top still get dirty and dusty and yes accessing the speakers is a roof off job.

reason being is, things get loaded with dust and crap up there and it decreases the efficiency of the ac. I take my roof(s) off yearly on both my M's and blow out the ac components. Makes a world of difference.

Additionally, it really helps the ac operation if, you line the inside of the roof with reflectix. Not much between the roof and the sun to reflect the heat and that Kubby orange soaks up the heat of the sun.
