Kubota L4630 Shutoff Solenoid

Good morning all knowledgeable people,

I have a question please. I would like to start my V2203 engine for my L4630. Currently there is no connected electronics. Just the Motor and the starter. The idea is to energise the starter directly. This leads to my question, what do I do with the shutoff solenoid?

I assume that I'll have to also put power on the solenoid. Any way around this just for testing my engine?

Just remove the shutoff solenoid, you can kill the engine with the mechanical lever on top of the pump.

If you do, cover the hole where it fits on the pump with a piece of tape. It's direct access into the works.
