Kubota L2550 lift arm problems

I've had my l2550 for a year know and in all that time I've had the kms180 backhoe attachment on which it came fitted with. I just took the bars which lock the lift arms off, which I assume are part of the backhoe attachment, to see if the lift arms work, and there is no movement at all in the lift arm! Is there something else that would need reconnecting/switching in order to get them going or do I have an issue with my hydraulics, seazed maybe? Cheers Paul
