I bought a new B3200 the other day and I am new to the Hydrostatic tractors.
I was going across the yard in high to see how it ran and when i turned to go up the hill the tractor bogged down and stopped moving. When i put the tractor in medium it will go up the hill, is this normal not to climb hills in high?

Yes it will, I only use high on the road in 2 wheel drive or on level ground. I tried to dig into a pile of dirt in high and it would die on me. You'll get use to what you can do with it, give it time.

Yes, depending on the steepness of the hill and what your throttle setting was. It will take a little time to get used to the hydrostatic trans but after a while you will learn to love it. I bought a new B3200 last year......downsized from a L4610.......it's a great little tractor.

Yeah, high is only for smooth surfaces. With enough speed it will make it up fairly steep hills, also don't push the pedal all the way down. The further you push it the less power but more speed you get.

Merry Christmas to you too.

I am on vacation for 3 weeks, so I get to spend Christmas with my family for the first time in 6 years. This is also going to be my last Christmas with all my kids at home. My oldest is joining the Air Force after he graduates this year.
